2008 South Knoxville Summit

Partnering For The Future

The South Knoxville Foundation sponsored the first ever South Knoxville Summit on November 1st at the Tennessee School for the Deaf.

The South Knoxville Summit purpose was to provide an opportunity to discuss the best ways to prepare South Knoxville for the future. We explored ways to build consensus and make the most of our community resources, creating meaningful alliances between educational, neighborhood, business and faith-based groups.

South Knoxville’s Time has Come

The South Knoxville Foundation's purpose is to facilitate the redevelopment of South Knoxville.

It will bridge the imagination and desires of the community into partnerships that will effectively address those great opportunities.

These collaborative efforts in turn establish the vision and set the course for the future of this area.

Partnerships include neighborhood groups, business owners, property owners, entrepreneurs, cultural art organizations, developers and local government officials.
